TLS, 1904 June : Florence, Italy, "To whom this shall come."

Printed acknowledgment of condolences sent to Clemens upon his wife's death, in which he states his inability to thank each friend individually. After his signature at bottom he handwrites, "You have said the true word: I did worship her. SLC."
